Senior Housing Developers

New York City Senior Housing Developers Lawyer

At the Law Office of Jasleen K. Anand, we help our clients work to develop Section 202 housing — known as senior housing. Commercial real estate developers can now build for seniors and collect rent if the senior tenants are below a certain income level. Contact our New York City senior housing development attorney to discuss how to develop senior housing.

HUD finance

In senior assisted living, the finances proceed from the federal government in the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) finance project or federally funded HUD housing. Congress passed a bill whereby now Section 202 housing can be coupled with low-income housing tax credits. Now, developers of senior housing can get developers fees and make a profit.

Developers can also obtain tax credits for building other types of supportive housing, such as affordable housing development for veterans and homeless people, for people who are mentally ill or who have psychiatric disabilities, or children who age out of a foster care situation and are in need of a permanent home.

Contact the Law Office of Jasleen K. Anand to learn more about New York area senior housing development. We can meet during evenings and weekends by appointment, and we can speak both Hindi and Punjabi.
